About the Role

We are seeking an Air Emissions Technician to join our expanding team.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with previous emissions monitoring, stack testing, environmental consultancy or technical field experience who is looking to further develop their career within a growing environmental business.

Working from our Limerick office and across industrial facilities throughout Ireland, you will undertake air emissions monitoring projects, collect and analyse environmental data, liaise directly with clients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical reports and compliance documentation.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of industries and provides excellent opportunities for continued technical and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out stack emissions testing and air quality monitoring projects.
  • Prepare, calibrate and maintain monitoring equipment.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret environmental monitoring data.
  • Complete technical reports and associated compliance documentation.
  • Conduct site reviews and support risk assessment activities.
  • Liaise directly with clients and provide professional technical feedback.
  • Work in accordance with ISO 17025 and company quality procedures.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical development within the business.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Previous experience within air emissions monitoring, stack testing, environmental consultancy or a similar technical field.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage site-based activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and at height.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and technically capable individual who enjoys problem-solving, field-based work and delivering excellent client service.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, capable of managing responsibilities on site and committed to producing accurate, high-quality technical work. You will have a strong work ethic, a practical mindset and a desire to continue developing your expertise within emissions monitoring and environmental compliance.

Salary and Benefits

  • Basic salary of €33,000 - €40,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Structured career progression opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work across a range of industrial sectors throughout Ireland.
  • Ongoing technical training and development.
  • Exposure to specialist environmental monitoring projects.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
