QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required.
2. Licensure: Valid Ohio LISW-S or LPCC-S Required
3. Skills: Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions and group work.
   Demonstrated supervisory/ leadership skills.
   Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
   Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
   Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
   Proficiency in using Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions.
   Practical and creative problem solving skills.
4. Experience: Experience in working with children, adolescents and their families. 
5. Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company.  Must be approved by Bellefaire to transport clients in own vehicle

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Under the administrative and clinical supervision of the Child and Adolescent Group Services Director, the Assistant Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services is responsible for providing supervision, support, and training to staff and managers within the department.  The Assistant Director will also be charged with ensuring the utilization of evidenced-based practices, leading groups, coordinating client case management, optimizing the client experience, achieving departmental goals, ensuring safety within the group environment, maintaining compliance with departmental standards and regulations, and fostering a healthy organizational culture. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. With guidance from the Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services, develop and refine core elements of the CAGs group therapy curriculum.  Provide ongoing training, modeling and direct instruction to staff to support the delivery and integrity of this curriculum.
2. Provide direct oversight of the operations needs of the program including but not limited to, client transportation coordination, attendance tracking, electronic health record maintenance, clinical documentation, authorship of treatment plans and routine review of therapist and coordinator treatment notes.
3. Coordinate and lead various department team meetings, management meetings, clinical rounds, staff supervision and performance evaluation on a routine basis
4. With guidance from the Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services and members of the departmental leadership team, create and deliver relevant trainings for staff and management teams to ensure a high level of clinical integrity exists within the program
5. Conduct routine review of operational work-flows, current documentation practices, and treatment planning documentation to ensure program is in compliance with accreditation standards and operating with a high degree of clinical integrity.
6. With guidance from the Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services provide broad case management oversight to all clients and families involved with the CAGs programs
7. Provide general oversight and supervision to the staff and management team within Child and Adolescent Group Services including, but not limited to, hiring, supervision, evaluation, disciplinary actions and termination of employees.
8. Provide weekly individual and or group supervision to assigned Child and Adolescent Group Services staff and management teams.
9. Facilitate groups as needed and provide ongoing instruction and feedback around therapy concepts and curriculum to staff members and members of the Child and Adolescent Group Services team.
10. Facilitate the implementation of clinical planning for clients as designed by the treatment team.
11. Provide direct oversight of day-to-day group programming that ensures the safety of clients and staff.
12. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards

OTHER DUTIES:

13. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
14. Maintain required trainings, certifications and licensure in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
15. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
16. Assure that staff maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
17. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Child and Adolescent Group Services
