Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide courteous customer service. You will communicate clearly with store personnel and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following applicable armed post procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
