This role is part of Alcon's Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, a team that ensures our products are in compliance with global, local, and internal regulations and meet the strictest standards of quality as we help people see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate, Quality Management Systems (QMS) (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for providing technical guidance on compliance, driving quality improvement projects, and managing document lifecycles. You will coordinate compliance activities, support operational systems, and ensure safety and regulatory adherence.
Specifics Include:
- • Perform specialized tasks and conduct independent research to harmonize and standardize the Quality Management System at Alcon
- • Interface and collaborate with sites globally and at all levels of the organization
- • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, Health Authority, and Notified Body expectations
- • Make decisions within the scope of assigned tasks, requiring advanced knowledge, analytical skills, and self-direction
- • Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training
- • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization
- • Support Quality Information Systems and Training programs for a robust and sustainable quality management system, including elements like Non-Conformance Investigation (NCI), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Change Control, Metrics, Reporting, and management review. All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Design & Development
- Design and develop effective, measurable instructional materials for digital and instructor-led training, including:
- eLearning modules and SCORM packages
- Static and interactive Infographics, job aids, and quick reference guides
- Facilitator and participant guides and presentations.
- Instructional video script writing and creation
- On the job scenario activities, toolkits, and workbooks
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Design and develop effective, measurable instructional materials for digital and instructor-led training, including:
- Training Coordination & Support
- publishing and maintaining training content in Veeva Quality Vault.
- Track and report on training completion and compliance metrics.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in Veeva Quality Vault (Document Control and Training)
- 2+ years of experience in instructional design or training development, preferably in a corporate or global environment.
- Associate shall have the appropriate education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities/activities of this role.
