Description

We are expanding our in-office team in Sofia, Bulgaria, and seeking full-time Russian-speaking Content Moderators.

In this role, you will review, monitor, and regulate user-published online media to ensure digital environments remain safe, welcoming, and secure. Your core duty involves auditing text, image, and video submissions against strict community guidelines and safety policies, acting promptly to address policy breaches.

This position is 100% office-based in Sofia and operates on a round-the-clock rotating shift schedule. Previous moderation experience is not required, as you will receive full paid training starting on your first day.

Core Responsibilities

  • Content Verification: Review user-submitted text, photos, and video media to ensure strict compliance with online safety rules and standard procedures.
  • Policy Application: Apply specialized moderation tools to accept, decline, flag, or report digital submissions based on platform rules.
  • Community Protection: Detect and resolve policy violations, such as fraudulent activities, discriminatory content, spam, unlicensed media, and explicit material.
  • Activity Logging: Document review decisions and flag system anomalies or recurring content trends using internal reporting software.
  • Continuous Development: Participate in regular training workshops, policy briefings, and quality calibration sessions to keep your standards aligned with company expectations.

Candidate Qualifications

Work Authorization & Legal Status

  • Work Eligibility: Candidates must hold valid, full authorization to work legally in Bulgaria when applying (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship, long-term residency, or a current Bulgarian work permit). Note: We cannot sponsor work visas for this opening.

Language Skills

  • Russian: Fluent proficiency in both written and spoken Russian to accurately analyze contextual nuances, slang, and subtle language details.
  • English: Minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate) reading and verbal proficiency to operate internal software, understand guidelines, and communicate with cross-border management.

Location & Availability

  • Office Presence: Full-time (100%) attendance at our Sofia facility. No remote or hybrid options are available.
  • Shift Schedule: Willingness to work 40 hours per week (5 eight-hour shifts) across a 24/7 rotating schedule that includes day, evening, overnight, and weekend rotations.

General Competencies

  • Basic computer literacy with comfort navigating digital applications, online media, and social networks.
  • A calm, impartial, and balanced mindset when dealing with sensitive or complex material.
  • Solid team collaboration skills and adaptability in a fast-changing workplace.
  • Previous background in customer support, IT helpdesk, or digital moderation is beneficial, but optional.

Compensation & Financial Perks

  • Base Pay: €1,350 gross per month.
  • Shift Premiums: Extra pay for working night shifts, weekends, and official public holidays per Bulgarian employment laws.
  • Standard Coverage: Full statutory health insurance, social security contributions, and accrued annual paid leave.

Relocation Assistance

For individuals moving to Sofia from elsewhere in Bulgaria or abroad:

  • Short-Term Accommodation: Up to 21 consecutive days of complimentary hotel lodging upon arriving in Sofia.
  • Moving Grant: A €1,500 relocation bonus to help offset moving expenses, flight costs, or rental deposits.
  • Housing Assistance: Dedicated administrative support to help you find and secure a long-term rental apartment after your hotel stay.

Development & Culture

  • Career Progression: Opportunities to advance into roles such as Quality Analyst, Team Lead, Operational Specialist, or Policy Analyst.
  • Paid Onboarding: Comprehensive training covering moderation systems, policy application, and resilience techniques.
  • Global Workplace: A diverse, multinational work culture based in Sofia's vibrant tech hub.

Important Note: Because this role involves monitoring user-uploaded media, you may occasionally encounter graphic, disturbing, or sensitive material. To safeguard your well-being, we provide dedicated Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and access to professional mental health resources.
