Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Security in Quakertown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.

• Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm systems and their functionalities.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications and performing basic troubleshooting.

• CPR Certification: Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal to ensure all employees are equipped with this critical skill.

• Customer Service Experience (B219): A background in customer service is preferred. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Loss Prevention (B210): Experience or knowledge in loss prevention strategies is advantageous. Candidates should be familiar with techniques to minimize theft and loss within a retail or corporate environment.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a front desk within a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, communications, and other assigned systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer incoming calls, direct visitors and deliveries, and support daily access-control operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
