POSITION SUMMARY:
New Balance is seeking a highly driven and strategic Partner Management Specialist to lead business development and retail execution with major multi-brand retailers, including key energy partners. This role is essential in expanding New Balance’s brand presence, ensuring operational excellence, and driving profitable growth through strong business partnerships in a multi-retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Energy Account Management
Manage and handle the overall business across the energy accounts within multi-channel.
Develop and implement account-specific strategies that support both partner and New Balance objectives.
Conduct seasonal pre-line/business meetings and trade shows to drive business.
Conduct regular performance reviews and proactively identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Develop and seek out new business opportunities and developments.
2. Strategic Business Planning & Collaboration
Build strategical business plans in collaboration with partners, seasonally & annually for successful and best outcomes
Develop the responsible partners’ seasonal / annual buying plan & sales plan
Aligning seasonal goals, marketing & promotional activities, and market expansion efforts through effective planning, communication, and partnership.
Establish and cultivate strong long-term relationships with partners: key stakeholders across all levels
3. Retail Excellence Across Diverse Store Environments
Ensure brand compliance and high-quality customer experience across diverse store formats and regions.
Negotiate and secure the optimal brand zoning for the best and right brand exposure and presence.
Partner with cross-functional teams to execute seasonal campaigns and product launches effectively.
4. Product & Inventory Strategy Alignment
Monitor and analyze sell-through, stock levels, and market trends to influence product selection and buying level
Work closely with merchandising and planning teams to deliver an optimized assortment/product mix tailored to the needs of its partners with the brand direction
5. Data-Driven Business Management
Utilize and analyze buying and sales data to drive actionable insights and performance improvement
Create and deliver business reports in accordance with business relevant KPI
6. Operational Process Optimization
Monitor and manage in/outbound, return processes, inventory turnover, and replenishment cycles.
Collaborate with demand planning and logistics to enhance fulfillment accuracy and service levels.
Overall, excellence in operations which relates to its sales field
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
4~6 years of experience in retail account management, preferably in fashion, sports, footwear, or FMCG.
Strong understanding of multi-brand retail environments and partners’ dynamics.
Proven track record of driving commercial results through strategic partnerships.
Strong trend and market insights as well as profound understanding of products.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with retail analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Business-level Korean is required; English fluency/proficiency preferred.
