Senior Legal Counsel for a global iGaming leader!
With the advanced expertise and extensive knowledge of the industry, the company offers cutting-edge iGaming software and solutions. The company provides all online casino gaming software and solutions, that is well known worldwide in more than 85 countries.
The team is growing and we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal team and help to deal with drafting and revising agreements, researches on domestic and foreign legislation and case-law to ensure the company’s legal compliance in all business matters, as well as to assist in the protection of the copyright and intellectual property rights of the company.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a range of agreements with clients, service providers, and other third parties, as well as other legal documentation related to the Company's business activities, including complex matters.
- Take ownership and responsibility for legal matters and act as a trusted legal partner to internal stakeholders, providing proactive, timely, clear, practical and commercially aligned legal advice.
- Support business initiatives by identifying legal and contractual risks, and proactively recommending appropriate mitigation strategies and measures while supporting business objectives.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and corporate service providers, where required.
- Support compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance, feedback and knowledge sharing to more junior legal team members, supporting their professional development.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of the Company’s legal documentation, policies, internal processes,and good governance framework.
- Support the development and delivery of internal legal training and promote legal awareness, risk management and best practices across the business.
- Independently manage complex contractual and legal matters, escalating particularly high-risk or strategically significant issues to the Legal Manager, as appropriate.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Legal Manager, or higher management from time to time.
Requirements:
- LL.D. or equivalent law degree; admission to practice law in Malta.
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in commercial and corporate law.
- Excellent understanding of MGA and any other relevant gaming frameworks would be considered an asset.
- Capable of critical thinking, multitasking, and highlighting dependencies when dealing with legal tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate a solid business acumen.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Fluent in English; another European language is considered an asset.
- Detail and result-oriented.
- Self-sufficient, independent in task execution and capable of assuming a leading role in the projects assigned.
