About the Role
The overarching objective of the Director of Network Services is to take full accountability and lead the operational performance of AIA Group’s shared Network, Voice, Remote Access, LAN and Citrix VDI services and support.In this role you will provide executive level guidance and engagement across all levels of the business with regards to Networks, their operations and any associated activity. This role is accountable for overseeing the establishment of Network strategy and roadmaps to deliver innovative and highly available infrastructure services for AIA Group.
The role is accountable to Group Director of IT Operations for all performance metrics and delivery goals relating to AIA’s Networking technologies.
The role will ensure strategic partners and engagements deliver the services aligned to AIA’s strategy and expectations both from a technical and a business lens.
The is responsible in ensuring that Networks and technologies remain fit for purpose, ensuring that all BU demands, and specific requirements are taken into consideration to build a fully integrated support model with the BU’s and Group.
This role will also establish a world-class service engagement model within Group, IT Operations and BU’s.
Full responsibility and accountability for all Audit and Compliance actions relating to network
Control and oversight of financial budget, spending and planning for AIA Group’s network division.
Roles & Responsibilities
Partner with CTOs in BU and LoB to ensure Network Services are fully aligned to the needs of the business.
Provide thought leadership and guidance at all levels where required Innovate and Define Roadmap for AIA’s Network Services Transformation.
Accountability for governing the service of;
Network (LAN/WAN) and Voice
Remote Access Capability (VPN)
Citrix VDI services
Constantly exceeding retail banking industry benchmarks.
Lead a world-class team of Networking professionals across Asia-Pacific to ensure AIA’s adopts and operates market leading technology.
Manage the Network Services Function at a group level and provide full cloud integration in a multi cloud environment.
On time and deliver any new demand for Group, Group IT and BU capabilities.
Define Operational and ensure architectural standards compliance for Network Services.
Works with Infrastructure Architecture to ensure that Network architecture is up to date and compliant to all standards.
Management and compliance of Network technologies to Regulatory, BCP and Audit standards.
Identify opportunities to improve and align business synergies with strategic partners and group technology.
Foster and mature a world-class real-time reporting capability allowing the adoption of a ‘data-driven’ approach.
Minimum Job Requirements
15+ years of relevant experience in Network Management, including at least 3 years in a senior role with Network Architecture responsibilities within the Financial Services (FSI) sector.
Strong knowledge and proven experience delivering Network, Voice, Remote Access, LAN, and Citrix VDI services in multi-site, multi-country environments.
Proven experience and relevant qualifications in Cisco technologies, SDN, MPLS, and VPN solutions.
Hands-on experience managing outsourced service providers.
Life insurance experience in a regional or multinational environment is an advantage.
Experience working in a decentralized organization, ideally within a Group function where outcomes are achieved through influence rather than direct control.
Solid understanding of IT operating model design and industry best practices.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CCIE, or equivalent.
Demonstrated independent leadership, sound judgment, and decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple changing priorities while remaining flexible and open to change.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
Excellent analytical and communication skills to understand business context, ask the right questions, advise stakeholders, and present solutions clearly and simply.
Self-starter with the confidence and capability to operate effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
