We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting Whitespace, a fully digital e-trading platform utilized by Marsh and owned by Verisk. This platform is specifically designed for the insurance and reinsurance markets, facilitating digital offerings, negotiations, placements, and contract binding through a data-driven approach that enhances operational efficiency, transparency, and scalability.

We will count on you to:

•Provide comprehensive support for the Whitespace platform, ensuring a thorough understanding of its digital trading approach and data utilization.
•Work collaboratively with the UK Digital team to foster innovative business solutions and drive growth initiatives.
•Create detailed Power Apps solutions with a high level of attention to detail, integrating various data sources i.e PowerBI, SQL and SharePoint Lists.
•Analyze data from various legacy systems to generate actionable insights, focusing on Whitespace ad-hoc reporting and presenting key statistics and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Understand Databricks and the various schemas and catalogs utilized within the platform to build, query, and generate insights effectively
•Collaborate with colleagues across various levels to align analyses with business objectives.
•Assemble and process large datasets, identifying and implementing internal process improvements.
•Gather and model data using Python to support strategic decision-making.
Design visually compelling dashboards using Power BI to effectively communicate insights and facilitate data-driven decisions

What you need to have: 

•Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering discipline
•4 - 6 years of experience in BI and reporting – should have worked on Enterprise-wide reporting systems and built dashboards and reports from the ground up
•Hands-on experience through internships or projects in app development using Power Apps.
•Familiarity with data analysis and working with large datasets.
•Proficiency in Power Apps, SQL and Python for app development, data extraction and manipulation.
•Strong data visualization skills with experience in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
•Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
•Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.
Technical Skills:

•Data Engineering and Data transformation skills – SQL or Oracle
•Power Apps and Power Automate for app development.
•Data Visualization – Power BI is a must have, tableau or Qlik would be a good to have
•Strong exposure to and hands-on experience with Databricks on Azure and AWS cloud platforms, emphasizing data engineering and analytics capabilities.
•Ability to optimize data pipelines to perform complex data transformations
People and Team:

•Institutionalize the business and domain knowledge gained through Knowledge management principles and techniques 
•Build technical capability for self and the team starting with AWS data bricks and other cloud technology that will be required to deliver solutions
Soft Skills:

•Understanding requirements, excellent communication skills and stakeholder management are crucial skills.
•Ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way.
