About the Role
This is a senior mental health support role at Jankyns Place which is a supported accommodation service consisting of 17 flats.
You will:
- Provide recovery-focused support to adults (18+) with complex mental health needs
- Empower service users to gain independence and move into the community living independently
- Build positive, meaningful relationships based on trust, respect and inclusion
- Support individuals to attend appointments and engage in their community
- Work as part of a supportive, values-driven team

Functional Responsibilities
- Line manage one or more SWs
- Support the manager in the delivery of the service or contract
- Contribute to team resilience by ensuring appropriate boundaries, escalating issues when necessary.
- Establish and maintain relationships of trust with service users including helping service users to set, prioritise and achieve goals
- Support to manage tenancies
- Value the lived experience of service users and enable them to use that experience to support each other and improve their experience
- Carry out assessments and determine urgency of service user needs
- Work with professionals from other agencies and make onward referrals
- Take a lead on attending external meetings and attendance at multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Carry out risk assessments and determine urgency of service user need
- Assist service users to navigate the benefits and education systems
- Assist service users to manage friendships and family relationships
- Accompany service users to appointments
- Make timely records which are concise, accurate, written for the service user to understand, using Together computer-based systems
- Take a lead on client data management
- Write clear word processed and handwritten reports and records in English
- Contribute to contract compliance reporting and commissioning reporting
- Participate in mandatory and job-related courses and learning activities
