Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a Country People Partner (CPP) to support our business in China.

At LSEG, we work together to build a high-performing, inclusive and sustainable organisation. In this role, you will partner with the People team and business leaders to translate priorities into clear, actionable people strategies, ensuring alignment with both our global direction and China’s regulatory environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape talent, leadership and organisational outcomes in a multifaceted and evolving environment — and make a real impact on how our business grows!

What you’ll be doing

You will work closely with People Leaders to develop and deliver people strategies aligned with business priorities and the local context. You will also lead the local delivery of global People programmes, ensuring strong adoption and meaningful impact.

You will provide guidance on employee relations, employment practices and compliance matters, balancing business needs with appropriate risk management. At the same time, you will drive initiatives that strengthen talent development, engagement and retention, using data and insights to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

Working collaboratively with Centres of Excellence (CoEs), CPP colleagues and business stakeholders, you will help deliver coordinated people solutions. You will also support organisational change and transformation, enabling teams to navigate change effectively and sustainably.

In addition, you will ensure compliance with local employment laws, policies and governance requirements, while contributing to the continuous improvement of people processes, practices and colleague experience. You will also actively engage in collaboration across the APAC CPP community.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in HRBP or a similar role within a multinational or complex organisation
  • A solid understanding of core HR areas, including talent, performance, engagement and employee relations
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and delivering people-focused initiatives
  • Confidence in handling employee relations matters, including sensitive or complex situations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships
  • Experience supporting organisational change or transformation initiatives
  • Interest or experience in talent and leadership development
  • Ability to use data and insights to inform decision-making
  • Sound understanding of China employment law and local HR practices
  • Comfortable working in English within a global environment

What we offer

We are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive. We support our colleagues with a range of benefits and development opportunities, including:

  • A collaborative and inclusive working environment
  • Opportunities to work closely with senior leaders and shape business outcomes
  • Ongoing learning and career development support
  • Flexible working and wellbeing initiatives (where applicable)
