Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer I, you will play a critical role in building backend systems that power innovative AI-driven communication experiences. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including TypeScript and .NET to develop intelligent agents that enhance customer interactions through phone and chat channels. Your contributions will directly impact how customers experience our products, and you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where innovation is valued and your work makes a tangible difference.

About the role 

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using .NET and TypeScript to support AI-driven agent platforms
• Build and optimize TypeScript-based agents that power phone and chat communication experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI agent solutions with existing systems and infrastructure
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments, ensuring reliability and performance
• Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable backend systems that support high-volume communication workflows
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

About you 

• Minimum Qualifications
• 2+ years of professional software development experience post-graduation
• Proficiency in .NET and TypeScript or Node.js
• Strong understanding of backend development principles and GraphQL
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code and collaborate effectively with team members
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sierra AI or similar platforms for building agentic communication experiences
• Previous work with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) or IVA (Intelligent Virtual Assistant) systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
• Experience working on AI or machine learning-driven applications

On-Call Expectations 
This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
