Job Description
The Global Health & Safety Manager holds overall responsibility for developing, implementing, and driving CUBIC's global health and safety agenda across all sites and functions. The role is responsible for ensuring a strong safety culture, compliance with applicable legislation, and the continuous improvement of safety performance throughout the organization.
CUBIC is experiencing significant growth and expansion, with new facilities, increased production capacity, and major investments across our global footprint. The responsibility will grow alongside the organization, requiring close collaboration with local management teams, operational leaders, and global stakeholders to establish best practices and ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
The position offers substantial opportunities to shape and influence CUBIC's global HS strategy and play a key role in supporting the company's continued growth and development as part of the global Rockwell Automation organization.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the global Health & Safety strategy across all CUBIC locations
- Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture through leadership engagement and employee involvement
- Ensure compliance with applicable Health & Safety legislation, corporate requirements, and Rockwell Automation standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain global Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems
- Lead H&S performance management through KPIs, reporting, audits, and corrective actions
- Drive incident prevention, investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Support sites with risk assessments and the implementation of effective control measures
- Develop and deliver Health & Safety training and awareness programs across the organization
- Coordinate internal and external Health & Safety audits and ensure follow-up on findings
- Support new investments, site expansions, and facility changes to ensure Health & Safety requirements are embedded from design to operation
- Establish and facilitate a global network of local H&S representatives and key stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and enhance workplace safety performance
- Support emergency preparedness, crisis response, and business continuity activities
- Occupational Health and employee well-being programs
- Monitor and communicate global Health & Safety trends, risks, and best practices
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience from a global manufacturing environment, preferably within the metal industry
- Strong knowledge of international Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience working across multiple countries and cultures
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
