About the Role:
The Payroll Senior Analyst is responsible for managing and supporting the end-to-end Philippine payroll process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. As a payroll subject matter expert, this role provides guidance on complex payroll, taxation, statutory benefits, and system-related matters while supporting process improvements and ensuring compliance with local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee key activities within the end-to-end Philippine payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of payroll deliverables.
- Review payroll inputs and calculations, including salaries, overtime, leaves, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments.
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll taxes and statutory contributions, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
- Serve as the payroll SME and provide guidance on complex payroll, taxation, statutory benefits, and compliance matters.
- Review payroll reports, reconciliations, and variances, and investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Monitor changes in Philippine payroll and statutory requirements and ensure appropriate updates to payroll processes.
- Provide support and expertise on payroll systems, including troubleshooting, testing, reporting, and system enhancements.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve payroll concerns and ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiency.
- Support payroll audits and compliance activities by preparing required reports, documentation, and reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and support to Payroll Analysts and other team members on complex payroll-related matters
Required Qualifications:
- At least 4–7 years of payroll experience, with strong hands-on experience in Philippine payroll.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end local payroll, including payroll computation, taxation, statutory benefits, remittances, reporting, and reconciliation.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, taxation, and statutory benefits, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a payroll SME or subject matter expert, particularly in handling complex payroll issues and providing guidance to stakeholders.
- Proficient in payroll systems/HRIS, including payroll processing, troubleshooting, testing, reporting, and system enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable handling large volumes of payroll data.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential payroll and employee information.
