What You'll Do
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will play an important role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians and veterinary team.
- Communicating effectively with clients, veterinarians, and the veterinary team
- Providing compassionate client education and support
- Safely handling and restraining patients
- Obtaining patient vitals and medical histories
- Performing venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters
- Administering medications via PO, SQ, IM, and IV routes
- Preparing patients for procedures and surgery
- Assisting with surgical procedures
- Monitoring patients under anesthesia
- Performing laboratory testing
- Assisting with digital radiography and other diagnostic procedures
- Providing high-quality patient care throughout the veterinary visit
- Maintaining accurate medical records and following hospital protocols
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinical veterinary setting
- Completion of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
- Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively with veterinarians and veterinary support staff
- Excellent patient handling and technical skills
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and improving the lives of pets and their families
