Job Title: Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing
Experience: 8- 10 years+
Location: Gurugram
Position type: Full time
Timing: 1pm – 10pm (IST)
Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing
Role Summary
As Manager, Paid Media, you will drive the execution and optimization of our paid media campaigns across search, social, display, video and programmatic channels, in support of key marketing initiatives and business goals. You will manage campaign budgets, analyze performance data to find improvement opportunities, and execute optimizations to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) and return on investment (ROI). This role requires close collaboration with local stakeholders, marketing partners and agency teams to keep our advertising effective and aligned with broader strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Execution
- Manage the end-to-end execution of paid media campaigns across global and local markets to reach target audiences and drive awareness, consideration and conversion.
- Build campaign structures, audience segments and targeting (including retargeting and lookalike audiences) aligned to funnel stage and KPIs.
- Work with internal teams and external agencies to ensure all campaigns are set up, QA’d and live on time.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to provide recommendations for campaign optimization.
- Review lead generation form logic before launch, including conditional fields, validation rules and CRM integrations, to confirm submissions flow correctly on desktop and mobile.
- Review campaign setup before launch, including audience targeting, bid strategy, placements and A/B test structure, to catch configuration errors early.
Performance & Optimization
- Manage day-to-day campaign budgets, pacing and bidding to ensure efficient spend and alignment with performance goals such as CPA, CPL and ROAS.
- Diagnose cost variance between campaigns, separating bid strategy, audience overlap, placement saturation and budget pacing as root causes.
- Forecast budget burn and advise on reallocation across campaigns based on cost-per-lead and lead-quality trends, not volume alone.
- Track, measure, and report on campaign performance against established KPIs, providing clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Reconcile platform-reported leads against CRM submissions, explaining gaps from duplicates, invalid entries or sync failures, and escalate suspected bot or click-fraud activity.
- Assess lead quality beyond volume by tracking downstream sales-qualified rates to judge true campaign performance.
- Drive continuous A/B testing across ad copy, creative assets, landing pages, bidding strategies and new ad products or formats.
- Own conversion tracking and measurement (pixels, tags, UTM governance, GA4) to ensure performance data is accurate and reliable.
- Stay current with industry trends and platform updates, recommending new tactics and best practices to improve campaign effectiveness.
Collaboration & Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and, where applicable, advertising agencies and technology vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, analytics and regional marketing, to ensure integrated campaign execution.
- Educate internal stakeholders and promote Paid Media best practices.
- Strategy & Business Impact
- Lead and execute comprehensive multi-channel paid media strategies aligned with business objectives
- Own full accountability for performance across all Paid media channels, managing significant budgets
- Lead Paid Media strategy
- Manage relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external agency partners while presenting strategic insights to executive leadership
Cross-Functional Acumen
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with creative, content, analytics, and digital marketing teams
- Foster knowledge sharing initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and professional development
Analytics & Strategic Insights:
- Provide actionable insights on market trends and growth opportunities to drive business outcomes
- Conduct strategic analysis into campaigns, to understand what is working / not working, including the use of competitive intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
- 8- 10 years of hands-on experience in paid media, preferably in a B2B or commercial real estate environment.
- Strong, hands-on experience with major paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads) and a solid understanding of programmatic display advertising.
- Understanding of platform-specific mechanics, including audience expansion, lookalike audiences, bid strategy options and placement controls.
- Strong written and spoken English language skills.
- Proven ability to use data and analytics (including GA4 and dashboarding tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI) to inform campaign decisions and drive performance improvements.
- Working knowledge of lead generation forms and CRM integrations, with the ability to troubleshoot field mapping, validation and submission issues or brief platform support teams effectively.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with programmatic platforms such as Google Display Network (GDN) or The Trade Desk is a plus.
- Understanding of content syndication programs and vendors.
Success Metrics
- Achieve or exceed paid media performance targets (ROAS, CPA, conversion volume)
- Successfully manage and develop direct reports with measurable improvement in their performance
- Implement operational efficiencies that improve campaign performance and team productivity
- Drive strategic initiatives that contribute to overall marketing and business growth
- Maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication and delivery
