Your New Role
The Senior People & Culture Partner is a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders and employees. The role is responsible for delivering people strategies, organisational effectiveness initiatives and employee experience solutions that support business objectives while fostering an inclusive, high-performing and values-driven culture.
The role balances strategic business partnership with hands-on delivery and works collaboratively with People & Culture Centres of Excellence and specialist teams to provide integrated people solutions.
Your Role Accountabilites
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders to understand business priorities and translate these into people plans and initiatives.
- Provide expert advice, challenge and support on organisational, workforce and culture matters.
- Influence decision-making through commercial insight and people expertise.
- Contribute to business transformation and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
Leadership Coaching & Development
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and managers.
- Support leadership capability development through coaching, guidance and training.
- Enable effective management of performance, development, engagement and attendance.
- Challenge constructively and support leaders through complex people decisions.
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
- Lead and support employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful and positive workplace culture.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and belonging initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employment legislation, policy application and workplace ethics.
Talent & Organisational Effectiveness
- Support talent identification, succession planning and retention strategies.
- Facilitate talent and performance discussions where appropriate.
- Partner with leaders to develop organisational capability and team effectiveness.
- Support organisational design and change activities.
Collaboration & Partnership
- Work closely with specialist People & Culture functions including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Reward, Shared Services and Legal.
- Build strong partnerships across the business to ensure seamless delivery of People & Culture services.
- Champion consistency and best practice across people processes.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or participate in People & Culture projects and change programmes.
- Review and improve people processes and practices.
- Use data and insights to identify trends and inform recommendations.
- Prepare presentations, reports and business cases as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in a People & Culture / HR Business Partnering role.
- Experience supporting senior leaders within a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong employee relations expertise and employment law knowledge.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong coaching and consulting capability.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Ability to work strategically whilst maintaining operational excellence.
- Strong project and change management capability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Sound judgement and experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
