Frontend Developer

NN started its operations in Hungary in 1991 under the name Nationale-Nederlanden. In just 6 years, we became market leaders and continue to be a key player in the Hungarian life insurance market. NN Insurance Hungary is looking for a talented professional to join NN Hungary’s team as a Frontend Developer. In this position, you will have the chance to develop frontend for new information systems and to provide enhancements, development of financial/insurance systems and related utilities/interfaces and other office applications based on business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into functional, production‑ready software
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing functionality and performance
• Collaborate with teammates to design new features and evolve our architecture
• Write clean, maintainable code and meaningful unit tests
• Use and enhance Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deploys
• Follow security standards and engineering best practices throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to app infrastructure and keep documentation clear and current

What matters to us:

• 5–10+ years of work experience in the field of frontend development
• Expert‑level programming skills in React + Typescript
• Deep understanding of FP, OOP, architectural patterns and scalable frontend design
• Confident knowledge of unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing (Jest, Mocha, Playwright)
• Experience with scalable state‑management solutions (Redux Toolkit, Recoil)
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical problems, perform trade‑off analysis, and make informed decisions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, BAs and QAs, etc., communicate proactively, and raise risks in time
• Experience with modern ECMAScript standards

Advantages:

• BEM or similar CSS methodologies

• Experience leading complex frontend initiatives or cross‑team collaborations
