Job Description

As a Security Officer X Ray Package Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, support access control procedures, and maintain accurate records. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and/or personnel as assigned using approved screening methods and equipment.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and/or authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Document screening activities, irregularities, and security-related incidents, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
