We're working with an innovative and growing ERP software business looking for an experienced Professional Services Manager to take ownership of its implementation, project delivery and customer support functions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team from day one, shape the future of the delivery function and play a key role in improving how the business operates as it continues to grow.

 

The Role:

You'll take responsibility for the customer journey once a new contract is signed, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and clients receive the right level of support. You'll lead a team of implementation consultants, project specialists and support professionals, balancing strategic leadership with a hands-on approach.

You'll be involved in everything from overseeing new ERP implementations and larger client projects to managing go-lives, improving processes and developing the people around you.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and developing a team of 7 across implementation, project delivery, data migration and customer support.

• Managing the transition from sales into implementation, ensuring projects get off to the right start.

• Overseeing new client implementations and larger projects for existing customers.

• Taking ownership of project delivery, ensuring deadlines, budgets and expectations are met.

• Managing team workloads, resource planning, utilisation and project profitability.

• Improving delivery processes and introducing more effective ways of working.

• Supporting successful system launches and ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing support.

• Getting involved directly in projects, workshops and client meetings when needed.

• Recruiting, training and developing the team as the business continues to expand.

 

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience managing a Professional Services, Implementation or Delivery team within an ERP software business, reseller or consultancy.

• At least two years' experience leading and developing a team of consultants.

• A strong background in ERP implementations, with the technical understanding to get involved rather than simply oversee from a distance.

• Experience managing project resources, utilisation, budgets and margins.

• A track record of recruiting, onboarding and developing people.

• Confidence working with clients, senior stakeholders and internal leadership teams.

• Someone who enjoys improving processes, taking ownership and getting things done.

  Experience with manufacturing or distribution businesses would be particularly useful, as would exposure to finance systems, data migration or developing implementation methodologies.

The position offers a clear progression opportunity, with the aim of moving into a Head of Professional Services position within six months.
