Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Administrator in Polk City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control and badge activity, and conduct routine patrols to help identify security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at the location, verify identification and access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to utility-related areas, equipment, and restricted spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to gates, fences, access points, and other sensitive areas within the location.
• Support daily operations by maintaining visitor logs, reporting unusual activity, and following post orders related to access control, deliveries, and contractor entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
