## Tasks

The Role:

We are looking for a **Chief of Staff** to join our team and help steer Planet A through its next chapter. This role keeps our vision alive in the day-to-day, ensuring we stay sharp internally and visible externally. It is not a classic behind-the-scenes position. It is for someone who wants to be in the room where the next generation of world-changing tech is taking shape and help define how we operate, communicate, and grow as a fund.

You will work closely with our management team and be the strategic right hand to our Partners, moving seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. One day you might refine an investment thesis or prepare materials for LPs. The next, you could be discussing new partnerships, running a special ops project, or helping create an industry-leading event. We already have dedicated teams driving brand, communications, and ecosystem engagement. This role sits at the operating core of the fund: ensuring that strategy turns into execution, priorities stay aligned, and a small, ambitious team performs at its best every day.

Key Responsibilities:

**Strategic & Fund-Level Support:**

• Work closely with the Partners on strategy, investment thesis development, and fund-level initiatives
• Serve as a trusted sparring partner on high-priority tasks and special projects

**LP & Investor Relations:**

• Help maintain and strengthen relationships with LPs and network members, ensuring high-quality, consistent communication
• Support the Partners with investor updates, quarterly reporting, and fundraising processes, the preparation of meetings and on-site DDs
• Own the quality of LP-facing materials end to end, including quarterly updates, AGM decks, DDQ responses, and data-room documents

**Operations & Organizational Efficiency:**

• Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements across internal processes and fund infrastructure
• Ensure smooth cross-functional communication and alignment across the team
• Drive high-leverage projects across operations, portfolio, and ecosystem initiatives
• Prepare and debrief key meetings: research, materials, and follow-through on action items
• Own the planning and execution of key LP events, founder retreats, strategy off-sites, ecosystem gatherings, and new thematic initiatives
• Help make Planet A an AI-native fund: identify where AI can create leverage across the organization, partner with our Data Engineer to embed it into workflows and decision-making, and help the team adopt new ways of working. This is about building a lasting capability, not simply deploying tools.

## Requirements

You will thrive in this role, if you:

• Bring 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment (e.g. VC, startups, strategy consulting, or similar), with a deep understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Hold yourself to an exacting standard on written work. Presentations, LP updates, AGM materials, and internal documentation are correct, clean, and decision-ready the first time.
• Understand how a VC fund operates, or be able to demonstrate that you can get up to speed quickly: fund mechanics, LP reporting cycles, the cadence and content of quarterly LP meetings, DDQs, and the investment committee process.
• Are genuinely curious about AI in a fund context. You do not need a software, IT, or engineering background. You do need to be excited to understand the fund's AI "nervous system" end to end and help drive the adoption of new tools, workflows, and ways of working across the team.
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit and high agency. You spot opportunities, create structure where it is missing, and know when to pull others in.
• Know how to align people across functions, personalities, and priorities, and can translate big-picture fund goals into clear actions for different teams. You follow through, get things done, and can be trusted with sensitive information.
• Have strong emotional intelligence and can read a room, navigate different personalities, and adapt your style depending on who you are working with.
• Care deeply about what you do and want to help build something meaningful in venture, not just keep the wheels turning.
