Organization Overview
Ana G. Méndez University (AGMU) is a nonprofit higher education institution established in 2003. It operates three campuses in Florida and an Online Division in Puerto Rico, offering academic programs in Spanish, English, and bilingual formats across multiple modalities. The institution promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, research, diversity, and comprehensive education for Hispanic and international communities. AGMU is part of Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez, which includes three Puerto Rico campuses (Gurabo, Carolina, Cupey) and Sistema TV Channel 40, a PBS station. The system has more than 75 years of history. A total enrollment of 28,000 students in Puerto Rico, Florida, and Online in the United States. In Puerto Rico, Ana G. Mendez is composed of three universities in Carolina, Gurabo, and San Juan and various off campus centers. Accredited by MSA and many specialized accreditation bodies for our Schools of Veterinary, Dental Medicine, Business and Hospitality, Liberal Arts, Science and Technology, Engineering and Design.
Purpose & Scope
The Campus Director of the South Florida Location is a key strategic role supporting one of AGMU’s fastest‑growing areas, serving around 600 to 700 students across South Florida. The position is responsible for leading operations, ensuring student success, and driving enrollment growth.
Reason for opening the position
The role is open due to performance challenges tied to increased enrollment expectations and new technical programs.

Position Summary
The Campus Director leads campus operations and growth. Implement policies and procedures in accordance with Ana G. Mendez University (AGMU) standards. Responsible for the achievement of enrollment and retention objectives. Develops and maintains a positive environment for the academic community. Hires and supervises staff, promotes campus image in the community, and brings new relationships that assist in the growth of the campus population. Implements controls and procedures to achieve budget projections.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Management
- Define and execute the strategic direction of the South Florida Location.
- Analyze market trends and enrollment data to identify opportunities for program expansion.
- Participate in institutional planning initiatives aligned with enrollment and retention objectives
Operations and Student Services
- Oversee all student services, including academic advising, technical support, and success coaching.
- Ensure efficient and student-centered onboarding, admissions, and support processes.
Enrollment Management and Retention
- Ensure the effective execution of recruitment, conversion, and retention strategies for students.
- Monitor the admissions pipeline and establish KPIs to optimize enrollment outcomes.
- Implement retention initiatives tailored to learner needs.
Academic Coordination and Compliance
- Ensure programs meet academic rigor, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with School Deans, Academic Affairs, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs.
- Support training and professional development for administrative and academic staff.
Resource and Technology Management
- Manage budgets, staffing, and operational resources.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance digital platforms and learning tools.
Leadership and Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and develop personnel assigned to the South Florida Location.
- Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and continuous-improvement work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or in an administration area.
- Six (6) years of experience in high levels of administration in a higher education environment.
- Ability to express both verbally and in writing fluently in English and Spanish.
- Experience with: LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Anthology); Zoho tools; analytics systems

Compensation & Logistics
Salary Base: $94,392.00 annual $ 7,866.00 monthly
Assigned Car Allowance: $ 9,00.00 annual $750.00 monthly
Assigned Cell Phone Allowance: $840.00 annual $70.00 monthly

Relocation Reimbursement: If applicable, up to $7,000.00. Includes shipment of normal household goods and travel expenses for appointee and family. Luxury items excluded. Reimbursements require receipts.
Vacations: 22 annual days. Institutional administrative closures will be deducted from accumulated vacation leave. Administrative Closure (Spring Break, Summer Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas Break). After closures, 9 days remain for employee use, this could be subject to change depending on the approved calendar. Blackout periods apply during enrollment processes.
Sick Days: 18 annual days. Accrued at 1.5 days per month. Sick leave counts as time worked for accrual.
Birthday: Employees may take one day off during their birthday month.
Tuition Waiver: Institutional benefit granted to administrative employees and regular faculty members, as well as their children (up to 26 years). This benefit applies to all regular employees who have completed one year of service at AGMU
