Technical Project Manager (Temp)

At Personalis, we are transforming the active management of cancer through breakthrough personalized testing. We aim to drive a new paradigm for cancer management, guiding care from biopsy through the life of the patient. Our highly sensitive assays combine tumor-and-normal profiling with proprietary algorithms to deliver advanced insights even as cancer evolves over time. Our products are designed to detect minimal residual disease (MRD) and recurrence at the earliest timepoints, enable selection of targeted therapies based on ultra-comprehensive genomic profiling, and enhance biomarker strategy for drug development. Personalis is based in Fremont, California.

Duration: 6 months starting October 2026 

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support to the Project Lead to plan and execute diagnostic product and process development projects at Personalis 
• Follow Personalis’ established product development stage-gate process (PDP) and related procedures and best practices to help core-teams successfully document, plan and execute projects through all phases of the project life cycle from new project initiation to project close. 
• Duties include but not limited to:
  • Scheduling and participating in cross-functional core-team and other related meetings like sub-team meetings, design reviews etc., as directed. o Documenting accurate meeting minutes including capturing follow-up action items and decisions in Confluence and other SW tools.
  • Following up and documenting status of action-items until they are resolved.
  • Developing and updating status of project timelines in Smartsheet, Excel, Google Sheets and other tools
  • Monitoring and escalating Risks to project timeline and deliverables. o Developing and updating the Project Charter and related Project Plan documents tracking the scope, schedule, resources and risks
  • Coordinating the review and update of project documents including uploading to our Doc Control system and getting timely approvals.
  • Updating various project dashboards and trackers including the resource (time) tracker
  • Assist with compliance and resolution of Quality and Regulatory reviews, requirements and findings. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM or life sciences field 
• 1 to 3 yrs experience coordinating and managing technical projects in diagnostics, biotech or pharma focusing on product and process development
• Prior experience with various project management tools like Smartsheet, Confluence, Tableau, Lucid, Jira, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides etc. 
• Experience working under CLIA, CAP, FDA Design Control and ISO 13485 IVD QMS will be a plus. 
• Good communication (verbal and written), organizing and documenting skills are essential 
• Able to work hybrid, 3 days on-site and 2 days work from home. However, there may be times when on-site presence will be required for more days.

The hiring range for this position is $55.00 to $65.00 per hour, which may factor in various geographic regions.
