Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Procurement Consultant, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £364.00 - £458.43 per day
Summary:
The Procurement Consultant role is mainly working alongside technical subject matter experts, the successful candidates will lead and manage end-to-end procurement exercises, delivering compliant, commercially robust and value-driven outcomes across a varied portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-market engagement activities.
- Advise stakeholders on appropriate routes to market.
- Develop procurement strategies and support governance approvals.
- Support the development of procurement documentation.
- Act as a critical friend during specification development.
- Design commercial models and pricing schedules.
Essentials:
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end procurement projects.
- Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement regulations and best practice.
- Experience using eTendering platforms such as Delta or Mercell.
- Strong commercial awareness and procurement strategy development experience.
- Experience working collaboratively with technical and operational teams.
