  • Monitor activities involving fall protection, scaffolding, ladders, cranes and rigging, electrical work, excavation, confined spaces, hot work, material handling, and other high-risk operations.
  • Review and support the development of Job Safety Analyses and Job Hazard Analyses for construction activities.
  • Verify that required personal protective equipment is available, properly maintained, and consistently used.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project-specific and company-wide expectations.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors present an immediate risk to employees or the public.

Incident Response and Compliance

  • Lead or assist with incident, injury, near-miss, property damage, and environmental investigations.
  • Complete root-cause analyses and partner with project leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection records, training logs, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, local, client, and company safety requirements.
  • Track safety trends and provide regular reports and recommendations to project and company leadership.
  • Assist with regulatory inspections, client safety audits, and internal compliance reviews.

Training and Development

  • Conduct project safety orientations for employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks, refresher training, emergency response drills, and task-specific safety training.
  • Coach field employees and subcontractors on hazard recognition, safe work practices, and personal accountability.
  • Support the development of Superintendents, Foremen, and field leaders as active safety leaders.
  • Communicate lessons learned and safety best practices across assigned projects.

  • Participate in project planning meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and pre-installation meetings for high-risk activities.
  • Build positive working relationships with owners, clients, trade partners, and field personnel.
  • Communicate safety expectations clearly and consistently while maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approach.
  • Support multiple building construction projects as assigned and travel between project locations when required.
