Process Engineer – Role Summary
The Process Engineer provides engineering support to manufacturing processes, working cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Procurement and Technical teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support EHS, process safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Identify and implement process optimization and productivity improvement projects.
- Lead and support CapEx projects from design through implementation and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
- Maintain process documentation, procedures and technical standards.
- Develop standard work processes and support employee training.
- Participate in Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial processes, equipment and production systems.
- Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
- Knowledge of EHS/PSM requirements is an advantage.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Toyota Production System experience is a plus.
