Responsibilities
Seeking a motivated CLOUD ENGINEER to support the NGA Verification and Validation Division (TAV) on the Acadia program. Join a skilled, highly respected and long-standing team supporting the quality mission for NGA. The successful candidate will work as a cloud engineer tasked with supporting the hosting and integration of testing tools into a cloud-based architecture to meet the mission of the TAV division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide SME expertise in cloud solution design and architecture.
- Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and analytics for test and production environments.
- Maintain patches, updates, and new features for cloud assets.
- Support enterprise users, testers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Manage deployment strategies for IaaS/PaaS/container technologies (Blue/Green, Canary, zero‑downtime).
- Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) for configuration‑managed and repeatable deployments.
- Automate deployment and promotion cycles from development through production.
- Contribute as a key member of a collaborative, fast‑moving software development team.
- Conduct review of security findings and provide remediation via manual and automated execution.
Location: This position is 100% onsite in Springfield, Virginia. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Required Experience/Education:
• Must possess a Top Secret clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI and successfully complete a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at the customer's request (contract requires TS/SCI with polygraph).
• BS degree in Software Engineering, Math, or related Engineering field.
• 5–10 years of cloud engineering or related experience.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, AWS, and Well Architected best practices.• Experience with AWS technologies: CloudFormation, S3, IAM/NACL/ACL security features, RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB, EC2.• Experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure, operating systems, network services, user permissions, system security, backups, and troubleshooting.• Strong written/oral communication skills for briefings, technical issue resolution, and test documentation.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to learn and adapt.• Experience in DoD or IC environments.• Working knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban).• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.• Ability to coordinate with customers and software vendors to address test environment issues.• Proficiency in Windows and Linux systems administration.• Ability to analyze automated test output, scripts, and processes and provide recommendations.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with NGA UC/UC2S and TC/C2S environments.• DevSecOps experience including CI/CD and related technologies.• Experience with OpenShift and container frameworks.• Experience in information extraction, analysis techniques, data mining, and machine learning.• Ability to develop and integrate loosely coupled APIs.• Database design and maintenance experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) for test related applications.• Ability to develop tools for UI/API functional testing, automation, monitoring, load/performance testing, and profiling.• Ability to automate tasks via scripting or identifying open source/commercial tools.• Experience with test management processes, release cycles, and documentation.• GEOINT and TCPED workflow knowledge.• Experience working in enterprise test environments.
