Role Overview
The Role Requires 2-3 days in the office.
The Training & Development Manager owns the design, development, and administration of Fluence's onboarding and continuous learning programs. This role combines instructional design and content development with hands-on Learning Management System (LMS) administration, live facilitation, SOP creation, and scalable video production. Reporting to the Director of Sales Training & Development, this role ensures employees across the organization have access to accurate, engaging, and up-to-date training content, and that the LMS operates with integrity and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Content Developer / Instructional Designer
Develop & maintain content for onboarding and continuous learning programs & initiatives.
Modularize new training content for all roles within the LMS.
Keep relevant content updated on the Lightning SharePoint site.
Build interactive course content using Articulate 360 Rise (required) to create engaging, scalable e-learning modules.
LMS Administration
Maintain LMS integrity i.e. active users, course assignment, and permissions.
Generate and distribute reports on training completion, compliance, and program effectiveness to stakeholders.
Serve as the primary LMS administrator (Absorb preferred), troubleshooting issues and optimizing system use.
Facilitation (as needed)
Facilitate live and virtual sessions for onboarding and continuous learning programs across roles and departments.
Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training sessions are current, relevant, and effectively delivered.
SOP Creation (Scribe)
Create and maintain SOPs and process documentation using Scribe.
Ensure SOPs are accessible and integrated into onboarding and training materials.
Video Creation & Editing (Synthesia & Adobe Premiere)
Produce and edit training videos using Synthesia and Adobe Premiere (both required) to support scalable, role-specific learning content.
Continuously refine video-based content to improve learner engagement and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Alignment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams when needed, including project managers, content specialists, Marketing, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
Maintain a working knowledge of client practice models, evidence-based approaches, and applicable federal and state policies to ensure learning solutions align with program requirements and industry best practices.
Monitor emerging trends in instructional design, workforce development, adult learning, and human services to inform innovative learning strategies.
Manage Microsoft Teams & calendar scheduling for virtual training sessions, webinars, and calendar invites using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
What We're Looking For
Experience
3-5 years of instructional design & content development experience required, including developing and modularizing training content for onboarding and continuous learning programs.
Articulate 360 Rise experience required for building interactive, scalable e-learning course content.
LMS Administration experience highly preferred, including user management, course creation, and report generation.
Facilitation: Demonstrated experience facilitating live or virtual training sessions for varied audiences.
Process Documentation: Experience creating SOPs and process documentation using Scribe or similar tools.
Video Production: Experience producing and editing training videos using Synthesia and Adobe Premiere (both required).
Content Management: Experience maintaining training content on SharePoint or similar platforms.
Skills, Competencies & Mindset
Instructional Design: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to translate complex information into clear, modular training content.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to maintaining LMS data integrity, permissions, and reporting accuracy.
Communication & Facilitation: Comfortable presenting to and engaging audiences across all levels of the organization.
Technical Aptitude: Quick to learn and apply new tools and platforms, including the LMS, Scribe, Synthesia, Adobe Premiere, Articulate 360 Rise, and SharePoint.
Project Management: Able to manage multiple content development projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Collaboration: Works effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders, including project managers, content specialists, and Marketing, to gather content and validate accuracy.
Industry & Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of client practice models, evidence-based approaches, and applicable federal and state policies relevant to program requirements.
Trend Awareness: Stays current on emerging trends in instructional design, workforce development, adult learning, and human services.
Microsoft Teams & Calendar Management: Proficiency in scheduling, managing, and coordinating virtual training sessions, webinars, and calendar invites using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting Sales training or onboarding programs.
Familiarity with Absorb LMS specifically.
Experience with additional video or content creation tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe After Effects).
Success Metrics
Timely development and modularization of training content for new and existing roles.
High LMS data integrity, with accurate user records, course assignments, and permissions.
