Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week correctional healthcare contract in Dallas, Pennsylvania.

TRAVEL CONTRACT AT A GLANCE
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,254
Taxable Rate: $28.00/hour
Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246/week for eligible travelers
Overtime Rate: $70.00/hour
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Shift: 2:00 PM–2:00 AM
Location: Dallas, PA

Tax-free stipend eligibility is subject to applicable tax-home and IRS requirements.

THE ASSIGNMENT
Provide professional nursing care in a secure correctional healthcare environment. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, sound nursing judgment, effective communication, and professionalism in a structured, high-pressure setting.

Previous corrections experience is preferred but not required. Nurses with applicable acute-care experience are encouraged to apply.

• Assess patients and identify changes in clinical condition.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Apply sound nursing judgment and clinical assessment skills.
• Communicate effectively with patients and members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Support patient health, safety, and well-being.
• Follow applicable facility policies, procedures, and security requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania REQUIRED
• Strong nursing assessment and clinical skills REQUIRED
• Ability to work professionally in high-pressure situations REQUIRED
• Ability to work in a secure correctional environment REQUIRED
• Excellent communication skills REQUIRED
• Reliable ability to report to the assigned facility for all scheduled shifts REQUIRED
• Ability to work the 2:00 PM–2:00 AM schedule REQUIRED
• Ability to commit to the 26-week contract REQUIRED

Preferred
• Previous corrections or acute-care nursing experience
• 2+ years of nursing experience, ideally in corrections or emergency settings
• BLS/CPR certification
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Familiarity with electronic health records
