Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Full Time Patrol Visibility in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors while responding to concerns and reporting observations. Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with supervisors, campus personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
