HOW YOU'LL MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT
GIRO is looking for a Software Development and Artificial Intelligence Intern for the Winter 2027 term.
As part of a team that actively integrates artificial intelligence into its development practices, you will contribute to the design and development of a new internal tool aimed at supporting the preparation and management of our clients’ cutover plans.
A cutover plan is a key component of a successful client solution deployment. It helps structure the activities to be completed, their sequencing, associated responsibilities, and execution tracking. Your mandate will be to participate in the development of a tool that streamlines and automates the steps involved in a production rollout.
You will use AI-powered development assistants to accelerate design, programming, documentation, and problem-solving activities. This internship will allow you to contribute to a real software development project while exploring new ways of working with artificial intelligence.
If application development, solving real-world problems, and programming assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot excite you, you'll fit right in.
Your internship will include:
- Participating in requirements analysis and defining the features of the new cutover planning tool.
- Contributing to the design of the solution’s architecture and user experience.
- Developing the tool’s various features, including both the user interface and application logic.
- Using AI-powered development assistants to support code generation, understanding, improvement, and documentation.
- Implementing mechanisms to create, modify, organize, and track cutover plan activities.
- Participating in the integration of the tool with relevant environments and information sources.
- Documenting technical decisions, developed features, and key learnings related to AI-assisted development.
- Collaborating with users and project stakeholders to validate that the solution effectively meets business needs.
- Contributing to demonstrations, refinements, and the ongoing evolution of the tool.
And who knows? You might fall in love with our field of expertise and want to help shape the future of our tools and software development practices!
THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU AN ESSENTIAL MEMBER OF OUR TEAM
- You have completed at least two years of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.
- You have a solid foundation in programming and software development.
- You understand the fundamentals of application development and software design.
- You have an interest in developing user interfaces and application services.
- You are curious about AI-powered development assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools, or you already have experience using them.
- You can analyze requirements, propose solutions, and turn ideas into concrete features.
- You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and initiative when solving problems.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- You have strong French communication skills, both written and spoken.
