Description
Our client is an independent 5-star luxury boutique resort located in the heart of Seminyak. They are seeking a results-driven Assistant Business Development Manager to support the commercial growth strategy, identify new market opportunities, and drive revenue acquisition across key international and domestic travel segments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Sales Manager, Senior Sales Executive, or Assistant Business Development Manager within a 5-star luxury resort or boutique lifestyle property.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid track record of supporting and achieving yearly revenue targets and sales KPIs in the luxury hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury travel market, including leisure, wholesale, OTA channels, corporate, and boutique MICE/events segments.
- Well-established network within the travel trade industry, luxury travel agencies, and DMC partners.
- Demonstrated success in developing targeted sales strategies, account management, and business pipeline development.
- Commercial acumen with experience in market analysis, competitor rate benchmarking, and sales reporting.
- Emerging leadership capabilities with strong organizational skills to coordinate cross-departmental commercial efforts.
- Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and close collaboration with Marketing and E-Commerce teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the property's commercial strategy to achieve revenue, occupancy, and ADR objectives.
- Identify new business leads, contracting opportunities, and market trends while strengthening relationships with existing DMC partners and key travel accounts.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, client entertaining, and business development initiatives in target source markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, wholesalers, and corporate bookers to drive high-yield bookings.
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts, market intelligence analysis, and monthly commercial performance reports.
- Work closely with Revenue, E-Commerce, and Operations teams to maximize package offerings and seasonal promotional campaigns.
- Monitor competitor rate positioning, market trends, and booking pace to identify emerging business channels and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
- Participate in trade shows, travel marts, and industry networking events to represent the resort and expand commercial reach.
- Assist in organizing client FAM trips, site inspections, and property showcases to highlight the resort's luxury offerings.
- Ensure all business development activities align with the property's luxury boutique brand positioning and revenue objectives.
