Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in South Portland, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a retail distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist with badge-related processes. Deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for associates, vendors, contractors, and drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Support the orderly movement of people and vehicles at the location while maintaining awareness of changing warehouse and distribution operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
