Distribution Center Fulfillment Specialist

What You’ll Do
As a Distribution Center Fulfillment Specialist, you will be a key member of the Fort Mill Distribution Center team, responsible for developing and executing transportation and logistics plans that support efficient product flow across the distribution network. In this role, you will serve as the central point of coordination between Distribution Center Operations, transportation providers, stores, Inventory Planning, and 3PL partners to ensure product moves through the supply chain efficiently and cost-effectively. You will also oversee hub-and-spoke transportation operations, carrier scheduling, appointment management, Stock Transfer Order (STO) planning, and third-party logistics coordination to help ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and high service levels.
In this role, your focus will include:
- Develop daily transportation and order plans across the distribution network.
- Coordinate hub-and-spoke shipments between sites, stores, and warehouses.
- Optimize freight flow for cost, service, and efficiency.
- Analyze capacity, route utilization, and delivery performance.
- Create and manage shipping, receiving, and transportation schedules.
- Adjust plans based on volume, carrier availability, weather, and operational needs.
- Communicate daily transportation plans to operations, carriers, and leadership.
- Schedule and manage carrier pickups, deliveries, and dock appointments.
- Monitor carrier performance, service levels, and detention risks.
- Resolve transportation issues and appointment conflicts proactively.
- Plan and execute Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) across facilities and retail locations.
- Coordinate inventory transfers for replenishment, promotions, and seasonal demand.
- Partner with inventory, replenishment, and operations teams to support product availability.
- Manage transportation and inventory coordination with 3PL providers.
- Monitor 3PL capacity, service, and operational performance.
- Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost, utilization, and appointment compliance.
- Identify process improvements to reduce costs and improve logistics performance.
- Maintain transportation planning records and documentation.
- Resolve exceptions in a timely manner
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated strength in transportation planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination.
- Solid understanding of distribution center operations and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Self-starter with strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Desired Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of supply chain/logistics experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and supply chain/logistics experience may be considered.

The Salary range for this position is $38,300.00 - $61,600.00This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker.
