Job Title: Food & Beverage – Back of House Lead
Type of Position: Full Time; Seasonal
Schedule: Five days/week, includes weekends/holidays
Pay: $22.25 - $25.00/hr., based on skills and experience.

Summary
The Back of House Lead works closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and F&B Leadership team to assist in the supervision and execution of daily preparation of food for guests and employees, including preparation and cooking of meals while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. They will assist in the ordering and the inventory of food product, and maintain food cost controls such as portioning and menu recipe standards. They provide supervision of Basin BOH staff in the absence of the F&B Manager. This position will also lead in the training of staff on BOH stations and service line positions and they will hold employees accountable to company standards and policies. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
Essential Functions
- Maintain kitchen in a sanitary manner as required by Local Health Codes, including keeping all utensils and pots/pans properly stored when not in use and keeping all work areas clear and clean;
- Assists with creation of daily food prep lists based on business volume and leads BOH team in execution of daily prep goals;
- Direct team during meal service periods and fill in where needed to provide excellent guest service with acceptable ticket times and high quality product;
- Monitor and record daily temperatures of food products; maintain food cost controls such as portioning and recipe standards;
- Assist F&B leadership in training kitchen staff in all F&B job duties, policies and procedures; hold team accountable to company standards and policies;
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all Company and health department safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education and/or Experience;
- At least 2 years in a food service establishment;
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate;
- Ability to step in to perform all duties of any position in the F&B outlets at any time, flexibility to move between leader and line level responsibilities quickly;
- Ability to take initiative to resolve day-to-day operation issues;
- Proficiency in back of house kitchen operations, especially in high-volume establishments;
- Ability to stand for extended periods;
- Withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures as found in typical kitchen environments;
- Winter outdoor work may be required, i.e. snow shoveling, loading/unloading delivery trucks, etc.
- Computer skills required including, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typical business computer applications.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English- speak and understand verbal and written communications;
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
- Must have understanding of general health department regulations;
- Must be at least 18 years old.
