WHAT YOU'LL DO
Under the general direction of an assigned administrator, coordinate, support, and monitor activities related to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations, as well as other human resources and compliance functions. Coordinate and support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and practices that promote equitable access to District programs, services, and activities.
There is currently one full-time (12 months/year, 40 hours/week) vacancy located at the District Administrative Center.
This recruitment is being conducted to establish a list of eligible candidates that will be used to fill district-wide, current and upcoming, non-bilingual and bilingual, temporary and regular vacancies for the duration of the list, not to exceed one year.

The District Administrative Center, centrally located in Camarillo, oversees administrative functions, and provides leadership and services to the three colleges in support of VCCCD’s mission.WHO WE ARE

Current Employees: An employee who is promoted will be placed on the salary step of the new range of the appropriate salary schedule that provides a minimum increase comparable to a one-step increase in salary.Coordinate activities to support districtwide compliance with ADA, CCR Title 5, Sections 504 and 508, and related accessibility regulations; ensure alignment with District policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Monitor changes in federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance related to accessibility and disability compliance and applicable regulatory requirements; evaluate impacts, provide recommendations, and support implementation efforts. E
Conduct districtwide accessibility reviews of programs, services, digital content, instructional materials, third-party tools, and facilities to identify barriers to access, areas of non-compliance, and potential compliance risks. E
Coordinate, develop, and implement corrective action plans to address identified accessibility barriers; monitor progress and maintain documentation of compliance efforts. E
Serve as a point of contact for accessibility-related complaints and inquiries; conduct intake of accessibility-related complaints and inquiries; create and maintain tracking systems to document, monitor, and follow through on cases; facilitate resolution through coordination with appropriate departments, as assigned. E
Monitor and maintain accessibility-related grievance and appeal procedures, including case tracking, timelines, and documentation in accordance with established requirements; coordinate implementation and adherence to established processes. E
Gather, review, and document information related to accessibility, disability access, and other compliance or human resources matters; coordinate documentation and logistics to support investigative or review processes, as assigned. E
Serve as a resource to District departments on accessibility standards, compliance requirements, and procedural guidance; provide information, assistance, and training regarding available resources and best practices; coordinate with appropriate departments to support awareness and implementation of accessibility requirements. E
Collaborate districtwide to support integration of accessibility requirements into programs and services; identify potential compliance issues and support integration of accessibility standards into procurement and implementation processes; provide guidance, in collaboration with Information Technology, on accessibility requirements for digital systems, software, web content, and third-party tools, including applicable state and federal standards. E
Review and provide recommendations on proposed policies, procedures, programs, and projects to support alignment with accessibility laws and standards; review Board Policies and Administrative Procedures to ensure alignment with accessibility and disability compliance requirements and provide input to support identifying and recommending needed updates based on regulatory changes. E
Review and provide input on facility design, alterations, and campus changes to support compliance with accessibility requirements. E
Coordinate the collection and analysis of accessibility-related data; monitor and track required compliance reporting, documentation, and filings; prepare reports and summaries regarding accessibility compliance status, risk areas, and remediation progress for District leadership and external reporting requirements. E
Coordinate and participate in committees, workgroups, and meetings related to accessibility, compliance, and equity initiatives. E
Perform technical and administrative duties in support of District human resources, compliance, and related functions, as assigned. E
Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate the performance of assigned employees; set performance requirements and goals; monitor and coach for improvement; promote excellence and customer service; take disciplinary action if needed according to District rules. E
Work collaboratively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic communities. E
Demonstrate cultural humility, sensitivity, and equity-mindedness in working with individuals from diverse communities; model inclusive behaviors; and achieve equity in assignment-related outcomes. E
Perform other duties as assigned.
E = Essential duties.A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in public administration, business administration, human resources, law, education, disability studies, or a related field AND two years of experience coordinating compliance, programs, or projects of comparable complexity.
A graduate degree from a recognized college or university in public administration, business administration, human resources, law, education, disability studies, or a related field AND one year of experience coordinating compliance, programs, or projects of comparable complexity.
EXAMINATION AND SELECTION PROCESS:
This is an examination open to the public and current District employees seeking a promotional opportunity. To ensure consideration, please submit your application materials by the posted deadline date on this bulletin.
The examination process may consist of any of the following components:
A) Training and Experience Evaluation = Qualifying (pass/fail)
B) Technical Interview = 100% weighting on final score
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (T&E) EVALUATION:
A T&E is an assessment of training and experience, beyond the minimum requirements, that has prepared the candidate for the position as evidenced in the application materials. Please be sure to answer every component of each supplemental question as your responses will be scored and serve as your score on the training and experience (T&E) evaluation.
The candidates with the highest passing scores on the T&E will be invited to the technical interview.
TECHNICAL INTERVIEW DATE RANGE AND LOCATION:
Date Range: Wednesday, September 23, 2026 – Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Location: The Technical Interview will likely be conducted remotely, using Zoom. To participate, you must have access to a computer with a camera, microphone, speakers, and a reliable connection to the internet.
The examination components and dates are subject to change as needs dictate. All communication regarding this process will be delivered via email.

Duration of work experience is calculated based off a standard 40-hour full-time work week. Part-time work experience will be prorated based on a 40-hour full-time work week. ELIGIBILITY LIST:
Upon completion of the examination, the eligibility list will be compiled by combining the final examination score with applicable seniority and veteran's credits, if any. The candidates will be ranked according to their total score on the eligibility list. Certification will be made from the highest three ranks of the eligibility list. This eligibility list will be used to fill current vacancies for up to one year from the date of the technical interview.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
All appointments made from eligibility lists for initial appointment or for promotion, with certain exceptions, shall be probationary for a period of six (6) months or one hundred thirty (130) days of paid service, whichever is longer. Classified management, police, and designated executive classifications shall be probationary for a period of one (1) year of paid service from initial appointment or promotion.
