Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support our Landscape Design division. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estimating, design interpretation, and material sourcing, with a focus on projects across South Florida. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, client interaction, and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret, and take off from CAD plans/drawings.
- Assist with estimating costs for landscape design projects.
- Apply knowledge of South Florida plant material
- Utilize software such as Adobe or Aspire, Outlook, Excel to support project estimating.
- Support proposal development by discussing project needs with Designers and preparing detailed estimates.
- Source and price materials in coordination with the Designer.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to procure quotes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate proposals.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in estimating, construction, landscape, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Prioritize tasks effectively while maintain autonomy in time management
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Familiarity with plant materials commonly used in South Florida landscapes (helpful but not required)
- Basic understanding of landscape methods and materials (helpful but not required)
- Proficiency in Adobe, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience with Aspire software (preferred) or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
