Senior Manager, Legal Counsel

Senior Manager Legal Counsel plays The Legal Counsel ensures the company’s operations, products, and strategic initiatives comply with all relevant laws and regulations. The role provides clear and practical legal advice to support decision-making, while reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various agreements and documents to protect the company’s interests. It partners closely with cross-functional teams to balance business needs with legal and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the Legal Counsel monitors regulatory updates and industry changes to proactively assess potential impacts on the business. The role contributes to risk assessments, dispute management, and governance activities, helping the organization maintain strong legal compliance and long-term sustainability.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Handles a wide variety of operational legal matters, including day to day legal inquiries from all levels of BU organization
• Provide legal opinions to senior counsel on a wide variety of matters
• Execute legal research on behalf of counsel/senior counsel
• Monitor legislative, regulatory and industry developments, and providing updates to Counsel
• Participating in industry conferences, presentations
• May be asked to revise, draft and (where applicable) participate in negotiation

 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of financial principles and risk management is an advantage.
• Developing strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify and analyze legal issues effectively.
• Proficient in interpreting statutory provisions and case law.
• Capable of drafting clear and accurate legal documentation.
