Senior Project Planner / Scheduler (Downstream & Digital Transformation) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner / Scheduler to support a portfolio of downstream operations, capital projects, maintenance programs, turnaround activities, and digital transformation initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, supporting project controls processes, and partnering with business, engineering, operations, maintenance, and technology teams to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of project controls expertise, downstream industry experience, and exposure to business process improvement or digital transformation programs. Experience working within complex industrial environments such as refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, LNG, or energy infrastructure is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
• Create detailed Level 3 and Level 4 schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities.
• Support planning and scheduling efforts across capital projects, maintenance programs, turnarounds, and business transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate schedule reviews with project teams, stakeholders, contractors, and business leaders.
• Identify critical path activities, schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules and support forecasting activities.
• Monitor project performance against established baselines and key milestones.
• Partner with project controls, cost management, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure schedule alignment.
• Support development of dashboards, KPIs, reporting tools, and schedule analytics.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by helping implement and optimize planning, scheduling, reporting, and project management processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning standards, work processes, governance, and reporting methodologies.
• Provide schedule status updates, progress reports, scenario analysis, and recovery plans when needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of planning, scheduling, or project controls experience within the energy, refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, LNG, or industrial sectors.
• Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
• Strong understanding of project controls principles, critical path methodology, earned value concepts, and schedule risk analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Ability to work effectively across operations, engineering, maintenance, project controls, and leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting downstream facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, LNG facilities, or major capital projects.
• Turnaround (TAR), maintenance planning, or shutdown scheduling experience.
• SAP planning and maintenance systems experience.
• Experience supporting business process improvement, digital transformation, data analytics, or project management system implementations.
• Experience creating reporting dashboards and schedule performance metrics.
• Knowledge of commissioning, startup, and operational readiness processes.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle Primavera Analytics, Microsoft Project, and related reporting tools. Desired Attributes
