The is a maternity cover for a Senior GTM manager is responsible for leading the development, commercialisation, and go-to-market delivery of Tesco Media's seasonal, customer, category, and strategic media opportunities. Acting as the bridge between Tesco, Tesco Media, and commercial partners, this role transforms customer, category, and media insights into compelling propositions that drive customer engagement, unlock supplier investment, and accelerate media revenue growth. 

The role combines strategic planning, proposition development, media expertise, stakeholder management, and team leadership to ensure Tesco Media brings high-impact opportunities to market in a consistent, customer-first, and commercially effective way.

Key Responsibilities 

Lead media strategy across the full funnel 

• Develop holistic, customer-first media strategies aligned to category priorities and commercial objectives 

• Optimise channel mix to balance brand building and performance, driving both demand and conversion 

Be the media expert and thought leader 

• Act as a centre of excellence for media, bringing deep expertise across onsite, offsite, retail media, and emerging channels 

Embed media within category and commercial planning 

• Partner closely with category, commercial, and sales teams to align media strategies with trading priorities and growth opportunities 

• Identify how media can unlock value across key categories, supporting revenue, margin, and share growth 

Translate insight into commercial action 

• Leverage customer, category, and campaign data to uncover opportunities and optimise performance 

• Turn insight into clear, commercially focused recommendations that influence investment decisions 

Collaborate with sales to unlock growth 

• Work closely with sales teams to bring media strategies to life within client and supplier conversations 

• Support the development of compelling, insight-led media narratives that drive partner investment and engagement 

Provide light-touch project leadership 

• Lead the delivery of key media initiatives and cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment across stakeholders 

• Bring structure and clarity to complex programmes without defaulting to process-heavy approaches 

Influence senior stakeholders 

• Partner with leadership, commercial, and brand teams to embed media thinking into business planning 

• Clearly articulate the value of media investment and strategic trade-offs
