Product Marketing Manager I, AI Security

Position Summary 

F5 is seeking a Product Marketing Manager I to help bring our AI security portfolio to market. In this role, you will support go-to-market strategy, messaging, and content for F5's AI Security Platform products and use cases – specifically, F5 AI Red Team. 

 

This is an ideal role for an early-career marketer with a genuine curiosity about AI and cybersecurity who wants to learn the craft of product marketing end to end. You'll work under the guidance of senior product marketers while owning discrete deliverables of your own, translating technical capabilities into clear, compelling stories for security leaders, platform teams, and AI practitioners. Success in this role looks like strong writing, sound judgment, a bias toward collaboration, and a willingness to go deep on the technology. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Support the development and execution of content strategy for defined customer personas and target segments across the AI security portfolio. 

• Conduct market and competitive research to understand customer needs, buying criteria, market trends, and the competitive landscape within enterprise AI and AI security; synthesize findings into actionable recommendations. 

• Create and contribute to content that communicates product value to target audiences including blog posts, solution briefs, customer-facing presentations, demo narratives, sales enablement materials, web copy, and social media campaigns. 

• Help translate technical capabilities into differentiated messaging and positioning. 

• Partner cross-functionally with sales, corporate marketing, product management, engineering, and the broader product marketing team to support product and feature launches. 

• Support technology alliance marketing motions with partners such as NVIDIA, Salesforce, and Dell, including joint content and launch moments. 

• Support sales enablement by helping build and maintain pitch decks, FAQs, objection-handling guidance, battlecards, and competitive comparisons. 

• Track and report on KPIs related to product marketing activities, including analyzing marketing program results, tracking product performance, and preparing performance reports. 

• Represent the voice of the customer internally by participating in customer and prospect conversations, analyst briefings, and field feedback loops. 

• Uphold F5's Business Code of Conduct and promptly report any violations. 

• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

 

Core Competencies 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop compelling written content and presentations for both technical and business audiences. 

• Demonstrated technical competency and curiosity for AI, AI security, and related technologies; ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly and explain them simply. 

• Strong research and analytical skills, including comfort working with market data and marketing performance metrics. 

• Collaborative working style with the ability to build relationships across functions and geographies. 

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables against deadlines in a fast-moving environment. 

• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a growth mindset — you seek feedback and act on it. 

 

Qualifications 

• Successfully completed a Summer 2026 internship with F5. 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related technical field graduating between December 2026 and September 2027. 

• Must be able to start no later than September 30th, 2027. 

• Must be able to work onsite in accordance with F5s policies; fully remote work options are not available.   

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and/or AI/ML concepts is strongly preferred; exposure to Kubernetes, APIs, or cloud infrastructure is a plus. 

• Based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle, WA area; this role operates in a hybrid working environment out of F5's Seattle office. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation. Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail. 

• Duties may require the ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

The annual base pay for this position is $100,000 plus eligibility for F5's incentive/bonus program. 

 

This is a fixed, non-negotiable base salary for the stated location.

The annual base pay for this position is: $71,000.00 - $106,400.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
