Project Coordinator

With nearly 25 years of experience, our Bathgate location in Scotland, UK is an integral part of Catalent’s European clinical supply services network. This 141,000 sq. ft. facility has a comprehensive range of capabilities to support sponsors’ studies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, including clinical supply management, FastChain® demand-led supply, clinical-scale commercial packaging, and QP release services.

We have high-speed, automated primary packaging for blisters, as well as semi-automated primary packaging for bottles. We offer packaging design services on site, as well as secondary packaging and clinical labeling services.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team and support the Project Management function in delivering clinical supply and packaging projects from start to finish. You will coordinate activities, monitor timelines, and manage project documentation to ensure smooth execution. Acting as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, you will help maintain compliance and keep projects on track. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys working collaboratively.

The Role

• Coordinate clinical supply projects from award through completion, tracking timelines and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Support project management activities through client/internal meetings, audit participation, and documentation of actions and requirements.
• Manage client-supplied materials, labels, randomizations, inventory, and depot setup to support project execution.
• Maintain project data, forecasts, KPI reporting, and financial milestones within company systems (JDE, Fusion Suite, Workfront).
• Serve as a key liaison between clients, project teams, depots, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
• Oversee project returns, destruction processes, invoicing activities, and resolution of invoice queries.
• Assist with departmental training, SOP development and review, and compliance with company procedures.
• Promote environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation.

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related field, or good educational standard with relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience in customer service or a business-related area preferred.
• Professional Project Management Qualification preferred.

• Good knowledge of IT systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with a commitment to high-level customer service when managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, ensuring commitments are met accurately and on time.
• Professionalism, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and experience communicating with external clients.
