EPSA is seeking a HV Electrician to be permanently employed by the company on a full-time basis.
The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting A/C and electrical systems of heavy vehicles, executing repairs, and servicing in line with manufacturer and company standards, while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality maintenance through effective collaboration and resource management.
About the role
Maintain A/C Systems
Troubleshooting electrical systems
Work to continuously improve the safety values and performance
Carry out repairs and servicing in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and / or company procedures
Ensure tools and equipment are kept in a serviceable and clean condition and items sourced from the Store are returned by the end of shift
Ensure repairs and servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications
Execute allocated work to ensure it is completed safely within the required timeframes and to the required level of quality
Work effectively with the maintenance crews to adhere to the maintenance plan
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and statutory requirements
Working with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure quality maintenance performance, including asset availability and reliability
Work with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedules
To be successful you will have:
Current S11
Current Australian Drivers Licence
Electrical Trade Qualification (HV Electrician)
High Voltage switching ticket
Relevant trade qualification and other tickets as appropriate
Experience working with diesel electric haul trucks essential preferably Komatsu
Experience working with mobile plant equipment
Proven excellent diagnostic, fault finding, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance skills
Capable of reading and understanding parts manuals
Team player attitude and capable of working with minimum supervision
Commitment to health, safety, quality and the environment
Current Coal Board Medical or willingness and ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
