We have a fantastic opportunity for Commercial Property Loss Adjusters in London.
About the role
As a Commercial Property Loss Adjuster, you'll manage a caseload of commercial property damage claims up to £100k in value across London and surrounding areas. You'll be the trusted expert guiding clients through the claims process, balancing technical investigation with exceptional customer service while delivering fair and timely outcomes.
You'll investigate losses across a wide range of commercial premises, establish the cause and extent of damage, liaise with policyholders, brokers, insurers and contractors, and drive claims through to a successful conclusion.
In this role you will support organisations, business and property owners during some of their most challenging moments such as a fire causing damage to a manufacturing facility, an escape of water affecting a multi-tenanted building, storm damage to a retail premises, or events impacting business continuity.
Following site visits, you'll prepare detailed reports, evaluate policy coverage, quantify losses and provide recommendations to insurers and other stakeholders.
Alongside visits across London and surrounding areas, we're happy for your base to be a balance of our office and your home.
Skills and requirements you will have when you apply:
Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for travelling to commercial properties and claimant locations.
Excellent Communication Skills: Able to confidently engage with policyholders, brokers, insurers, loss mitigation specialists, surveyors, contractors and other stakeholders.
Customer: ability and passion to support the customer journey and deliver effective outcomes
Commercial Adjusting Experience: Candidates should ideally have experience of commercial property losses and be able to demonstrate a track record of providing excellent customer service. Existing market profile within the local market would be an advantage.
Investigation & Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish cause, assess damage and make evidence-based decisions.
Time Management: Capable of planning your own workload, prioritising competing demands and managing multiple claims simultaneously.
Report Writing: Ability to produce clear, accurate and professional reports supported by sound technical reasoning.
Helpful, but not essential
Use of Apple software such as iPads or other tablet-based technology
Cert CILA, Dip CILA, ACILA or similar and/or commitment to work towards this
