Established in 1998, Boston Neurobehavioral Associates (BNBA) is a leading outpatient behavioral health organization providing comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, and Florida.

Led by Mohammad Munir, MD, BNBA brings together a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, therapists, neuropsychologists, and other behavioral health professionals. Our collaborative approach allows us to provide comprehensive, individualized care to patients across a broad range of psychiatric, psychological, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

BNBA provides evaluation and treatment for conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, autism spectrum disorder, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health concerns. Our clinicians utilize evidence-based approaches, including medication management, psychotherapy, psychological and neuropsychological assessment, and other individualized treatment interventions.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Boston Neurobehavioral Associates (BNBA) is seeking a full-time or part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing outpatient practice. This position will primarily focus on psychiatric medication management for children and adolescents, with the opportunity to work with patients across a range of behavioral health and psychiatric conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents in an outpatient behavioral health or psychiatric setting and be comfortable conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing medication management.

Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts licensure as a PMHNP or PA is required

  • PMHNP certification through ANCC or appropriate national certification for the applicable discipline

  • Graduate degree from an accredited PMHNP program or PA program

  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one

  • Experience providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management

  • Experience working with children and adolescents is strongly preferred

  • Experience treating a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team

  • Demonstrated interest in working with culturally diverse populations

  • Commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in clinical practice

Your Role

As a PMHNP or PA at BNBA, you will play an important role in providing accessible, evidence-based psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

  • Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management for children and adolescents

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs

  • Initiate, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications while evaluating treatment effectiveness, side effects, and overall response

  • Monitor patient progress and make clinically appropriate treatment recommendations

  • Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and behavioral health concerns

  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, therapists, psychologists, and other members of the patient's care team when appropriate

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and BNBA procedures

  • Work with patients presenting with a variety of concerns, including:

    • ADHD

    • Anxiety disorders

    • Depression and other mood disorders

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder

    • Behavioral and emotional disorders

    • Trauma-related disorders

    • Substance use disorders

    • Psychotic disorders

    • Sleep-related concerns

    • Other psychiatric, developmental, and behavioral health conditions

  • Collaborate with BNBA's multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other behavioral health professionals
