We take pride in delivering exceptional service, sharing our expertise, and upholding the highest standards to ensure a world-class campus experience.
The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for serving as a key strategic liaison between UCF Information Technology (UCF IT) and the university’s academic and central support units. The Business Systems Analyst IV plays a senior-level role in driving operational efficiency, identifying high-impact technology solutions, and facilitating IT governance and project initiation processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, a comprehensive understanding of complex business processes, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between UCF IT and designated academic or central support units, fostering strong, collaborative relationship.
Conduct comprehensive analyses to understand, document, and map current-state business processes, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and strategic opportunities.
Work collaboratively with business and academic leaders to define and document clear business needs, requirements, and use cases. Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate technological and process solutions to address complex business problems, aligning with UCF's strategic goals and IT architecture standards. Write requirements and build process flows as required for project initiation.
Identify opportunities for process automation, focusing on high-impact faculty and student-facing processes to drive significant efficiency and service improvements. Assist in designing improved future-state business processes that maximize the utility of new and existing IT resources.
Assist business and academic leaders in developing robust business cases that clearly articulate the scope, benefits, costs, and risks of proposed projects.
Guide stakeholders in navigating the IT governance and project intake processes, ensuring submissions are complete, accurate, and aligned with institutional priorities.
Develop application and system rationalization plans aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing technical debt, and optimizing the institutional technology portfolio. Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to formally initiate approved projects, ensuring a seamless handover from conception to execution.
Identify areas where UCF IT can refine its own internal processes and service offerings to better meet the evolving needs of the university community. Collaborate heavily with the IT Service Management and Performance Analytics teams to monitor service delivery, analyze service level data, and implement continuous improvements to increase IT adoption and service quality.
Based on identified university needs, partner with the Organizational Change Management and Technology Adoption team to ensure end-users receive the appropriate training, resources, and support necessary for successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Familiarity with the technology landscape, business processes, and organizational structure of a large public research university.
Strong facilitation skills with demonstrated success leading cross-functional workshops to define requirements, streamline processes, and prioritize IT initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Experience using enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Power BI, and project management platforms to track initiatives, measure performance, and visualize trends.
