Dessert Holdings is seeking a highly talented Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to join our team as we continue our exciting growth journey. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting and reporting professional to play a pivotal role in preparing a dynamic, private equity-backed organization for its next stage by driving excellence in financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with senior leadership, Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, and external service providers to champion continuous improvement, foster cross-functional collaboration, and provide strategic financial reporting support to enable informed decision-making and long-term business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial results and insights to leadership.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Drive financial reporting process improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert for financial reporting systems, including Workiva and other reporting technologies.
- Lead technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting matters.
- Evaluate emerging accounting and regulatory developments, including new pronouncements from the FASB, SEC, and other governing bodies.
- Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos, position papers, accounting policies, and disclosure documentation.
- Partner with business leaders to assess the accounting implications of strategic initiatives, acquisitions, financing activities, and other significant transactions.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure effective compliance and audit execution.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial integrity and operational effectiveness.
- Help build a scalable finance infrastructure that supports long-term growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with an active CPA license
- 8+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC financial statement reporting and filing requirements
- Strong technical accounting expertise with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards and regulatory guidance
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment, including project management experience
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams and senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Public company reporting experience
- SEC reporting experience or experience supporting public-company readiness initiatives
- Background in Big 4 public accounting, national accounting firms, or large corporate reporting functions
- Experience working within private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformational business environments
- Familiarity with Workiva, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Catalyst, and financial consolidations systems
