Role Summary
This Process Digitisation Director role is responsible for defining and executing the People Function's end-to-end process digitisation strategy, enabling the transition towards an Intelligent Enterprise. This role will lead the re-imagination, digitisation, automation and AI enablement of People processes across the employee lifecycle, working closely with Product Owners, Process Owners, Centres of Excellence (COEs), Service Excellence, People Partnering, People Engineering, Enterprise Technology, and ServiceNow teams.
The role is accountable for maximising the value of digital platforms, AI, automation and workflow technologies to create seamless colleague experiences, simplify operations, improve service outcomes, and drive scalable growth across the People Function. The role owns the People Function ServiceNow development roadmap, delivery and governance, ensuring delivery of strategic capabilities aligned to business priorities.
Responsibilities
1. People Function Process Digitisation Strategy
Define and co-lead the People Function's process digitisation strategy aligned to the Intelligent Enterprise agenda in strong partnership with the People Function Engineering Team.
Establish a multi-year roadmap for digitisation, automation, AI and workflow transformation across the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.
Drive the shift from traditional process optimisation to AI-first and product-led process design working in close partnership with the Process Excellence Team by enabling the right platforms and solutions.
Ensure digitisation initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes including productivity, quality, scalability, compliance and colleague experience improvements.
Partner with Process Owner and Product owners to embed digital thinking into process ownership and governance.
2. ServiceNow Ownership and Delivery
Own and be accountable for the People Function ServiceNow strategy, roadmap, development portfolio and delivery outcomes.
Prioritise and govern ServiceNow investments to ensure alignment with People Function priorities and enterprise technology standards.
Lead the delivery of ServiceNow enhancements, workflows, AI capabilities, employee self-service solutions and automation initiatives.
Partner closely with People Engineering, Enterprise ServiceNow teams and technology partners to ensure effective platform utilisation and innovation.
Drive adoption of emerging ServiceNow AI capabilities and workflow automation opportunities.
Ensure robust governance, release management, controls and platform performance.
3. Cross-Functional People Function Digitisation Governance and Stakeholder Leadership
Establish and chair People Function Process Digitisation Forums.
Partner with the GPO and Governance teams to Lead Digitisation governance across People Function, Engineering, Technology, Operations and Process Owner communities.
Enhance and support the structured intake, prioritisation and investment framework for digitisation opportunities.
Provide regular executive updates on digitisation progress, benefits realisation, risks and strategic opportunities.
4. Digitisation Transformation Delivery and Value Realisation
Lead a portfolio of digitisation programmes from concept through implementation and adoption.
Define success measures, business cases and value realisation frameworks.
Monitor outcomes and ensure benefits are achieved and sustained.
Lead change management, stakeholder engagement and adoption activities to maximise business impact.
Build organisational capability in digital process design, automation and AI-enabled service delivery.
5. Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing Process Digitisation capability.
Develop strategic partnerships across the People Function, Technology, Engineering and Enterprise Transformation teams.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop colleagues in digital transformation, process innovation and AI-enabled ways of working.
Requirements
Essential
Significant leadership experience in setting up and implementation of People Function transformation, shared services, digital transformation or enterprise process management.
Proven track record delivering large-scale process digitisation and automation programmes.
Deep experience with ServiceNow, workflow technologies and enterprise platforms.
Experience partnering with technology, engineering and business leadership teams.
Strong understanding of process design, operating models, automation, AI and service management principles.
Demonstrated success influencing senior partners and leading complex transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated success & experience in technology
Preferred
Experience in global People Services, People function Operations or Shared Services environments.
Knowledge of AI-enabled service delivery, intelligent workflows and digital employee experiences.
Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or Product Management certifications.
Experience operating within highly matrixed global organisations.
